The artwork represents a very beautiful portrait of an elegant and chic madame. The female figure is characterized by a great freshness and by an elegant and refined dress. The strokes define the volumes of her body, inserted into an oval frame. The woman is holding a flower, while her hairstyle is elaborate and classy. The etching was realized by the French engraver Charles Albert Waltner (Paris, 1846 - Paris, 1925). He was the son of Charles Jules Waltner (1820 - 1911).
