Seven Elijah Walton lithographs from 'The Peaks and Valleys of The Alps' by T. G. Bonney, London, 1868. Each lithograph mounted on custom cardstock with gold-gilt edges, otherwise unframed and loose. Title of each printed in lower left sheet of each. Each measures 22-in. x 14.25-in. sheet size. Also included is the title page of the book for reference. In good condition, with spotting. If lot is absent of a condition report a condition report may be requested via email. Condition report is provided as an opinion only and is no guarantee as grading can be subjective. Elijah Walton was a landscape painter and, like many Victorian artists, he became passionately interested in the nature he painted and how it was formed. He became a fellow of the Geological Society in March 1867 and of the Royal Historical Society in November 1872.
