Tadeusz Was, Polish/British 1912-2005 - Abstract form; mixed media on board, signed lower right 'T Was', 50 x 40 cm (ARR) Note: émigré artist Was fought in the Polish army in the Second World War, but came to Britain in the Post-War period. He taught at Crewe School of Art and his work was the subject of a retrospective 'Lost in Crewe' at the Museum and Art Gallery in Warrington in 1991.
