Artist Edward Wesson was born in South London in 1910, and is best known for his distinctive style of watercolor landscapes. Being mostly self-taught as a watercolor painter, Edward Wesson perfected his style for 20 years before deciding to exhibit. His work led him to become a member of the Royal Society of Marine artists, the Royal Society of British Artists, and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour. Wesson passed on his painting methods to students toward the end of his career, and his demonstrations appeared in magazines.
