Wie’ Measurements in frame: 25 x 21 cm Good condition This rider on a brown horse is coming straight at the observer; he is wearing uniform and a black helmet; in his arms, a rifle. His gear is mounted to the left and right of his saddle and in the background – the cavalry and a town. The scene is set in a snow-covered winter landscape. The painting by the German painter Gustav Wie is in good condition with slight signs of age-related wear; the colour layer shows craquelure; the simple wood frame shows only slight signs of use. The artist’s signature ‘G. Wie’ is located lower right. The painting measures 25 x 21 cm in frame. Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
