      Jenny Wiegmann-Mucchi (Spandau 1895 - 1969 Berlin) Hockender Akt. Bronze mit schwarzbrauner Patina. 1940er Jahre. 13,6 x 9,7 x 6 cm. Auf Holzsockel montiert (Höhe: 2 cm). Auf der Standfläche von Susanne Mucchi autorisiert, datiert, betitelt u. bezeichnet "2. Guß von zwei Güssen nach dem Original". Ausgebildet zwischen 1917 und 1923 an der Levin-Funke-Schule sowie an der Kunstschule in Berlin-Charlottenburg lernte Jenny Wiegmann zwischen 1931 und 1933 Gabriele Mucchi in Paris kennen. Ab 1934 lebte sie mit ihm in Mailand, wo sie unter dem Künstlernamen Genni tätig war. 1937 erhielt sie auf der Weltfachausstellung in Paris eine Goldmedaille. Nach dem Krieg pendelte das Paar zwischen Mailand und Ost-Berlin, wo ihr Mann an der Kunsthochschule in Berlin-Weißensee unterrichtete, während Wiegmann-Mucchi ab 1955 als Dozentin für Metalltreiben an der Scuola Umanitaria in Mailand tätig war.       Bronze sculpture with brown patina, screwed on wall holdfast Germany/Italy, 1965 Jenny Wiegmann-Mucchi (1895-1969) - German sculptor With the authentication by the husband, the title and the date on a label on the reverse Height: 11.5 cm Very good condition Beautiful illustration of an owl as a wall object by the German artist Jenny Wiegmann-Mucchi; her bronze sculptures are traded on international auctions The German sculptor has depicted an owl, who is placed sideways on a rod and looks into the room. The rod is screwed onto a bronze plate, which serves for hanging on a wall. According to the label on the back the artist had dedicated this sculpture to friends. The bronze sculpture with brown patina and wall holdfast is provided on verso with a label with the authentication by the husband, the title and the date. It is in very good condition. The sculpture measures 11.5 x 11.5 x 10 cm, the wall holdfast 15 x 17 x 1 cm. Jenny Wiegmann-Mucchi (1985-1969) Born in Berlin, Jenny Wiegmann-Mucchi studied from 1917 to 1923 in Berlin at the Levin-Funke-Schule where Lovis Corinth and August Kraus were her teachers. She also attended the Kunstschule Charlottenburg. She traveled through southern Europe and worked in Paris from 1931 to 1933. With her second husband Gabriele Mucchi she lived from 1934 on in Italy, where she worked under the artist name Genni. In 1950 she became a member of the artist group Realismo and received lectureships at the Kunsthochschule Weissensee and the Caspar-David-Friedrich-Institute of the University of Greifswald from 1956. In 1962 and 1970 Jenny Wiegmann-Mucchi works were shown in solo exhibitions at the National Gallery in Berlin. (fea) Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
