Often his use of streams and paths lead the viewer deep into his creative vision of sunlight forests and fields. Wilhelmi's cityscapes are equally compelling, presenting the viewer with a more profound and complex emotional view of what they may not have noticed as they passed by.

Gregory Wilhelmi is a proficient and prolific painter, who began his career as an illustrator and graphic designer more than 40 years ago. He attended Montana State University and earned a BFA at the University of Denver. Later he became a tenured faculty member at the Colorado Institute of Art. Wilhelmi's work is represented in hundreds of corporate and private collections. His paintings reflect a wide variety of life's explorations and travels, encompassing studies of Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean, and his favorite subject, the American West. Gregory is a native of Montana. He has always received great inspiration from the land.
Wilhelmi now lives and maintains his studio in Roundup, Montana, with wife, Cheryl, and twin daughters, Andrea and Juliet.
