      Massachusetts, California,1888-1982 Cartoon illustration depicting a young boy attempting to wash his hands at a bathroom sink before dinner with his family. Williams graduated from Harvard and studied art in Paris and Dresden before returning to the United States to start his illustration career. Williams created illustrations for the New Yorker and collaborated with author Edward Streeter and Robert Benchley.
