Born in 1963, artist Wesley Willis was a musician and visual artist from Chicago. He was well known for bringing his own unique flair to his creative works and, as a result, has amassed a sizable cult following. The majority of Wesley Willis' illustrations were drawn with colorful marker pens and depicted city scenes. Often, his works focused on public transport, which played an important role in his creative process. 

Living a somewhat troubled life, artist Wesley Willis was a long term sufferer of schizophrenia, but in spite of this, spent much of his time immersed in his art before dying of leukemia in 2003.
