b. 1986 -

Selina Wilson is an Edinburgh and Borders based artist and tutor, who has been working as a tutor with The Edinburgh Drawing School. Her background is in classically trained painting and art, having studied at the Charles H. Cecil studios in Florence, Italy, for two years.

I have a studio near Melrose, where teach and paint and I am a member of the Edinburgh Printmakers studio. I have 10 years experience teaching art both privately and in Schools. Teaching art is my passion, I find it very exciting and rewarding. I am genuinely thrilled to pass on my skills.

I studied in the Classical tradition at the Charles H Cecil Studios, this was a wonderful basis from which my work has developed. I continue to produce naturalistic work, however I often work in a more expressive, colourful style, experimenting and using different mediums. My subjects vary from Landscapes, Animals and Portraits to still life and figurative pieces. I use oils, acrylics, watercolour, drawing mediums and I sculpt with clay. When teaching I encourage experimentation using different techniques.
