The abstract composition is characterized by a muted color range of gray and black, which is interrupted by the gleaming aluminum strip and the golden accents in the center. The work brings to mind the oeuvre of Joan Miró, giving, however, evidence of a very individual style. The work is signed and dated on the reverse, ‘Max Wimmer/76’, and titled ‘Metamorphosis’.
