      Important Portrait of Petrus Stuyvesant, Oil On Canvas. Petrus Stuyvesant is best known as New Netherland's longest, most influential, and last Dutch governor, having served until the English overthrew the colony's Dutch administration and renamed it New York in 1664. Stuyvesant helped make New Amsterdam more orderly and economically successful than it had ever been. Appears to be signed on the back of the frame. Frame has some small chips but the piece is in overall good vintage condition. Overall Size: 48 X 39 in. Sight Size: 41 X 33 in. #2014

      Oil on academy board interior scene looking from one room into another with table, chairs, stands and Oriental rugs. French doors with white curtains lead outside. Unsigned front but having two exhibition labels on reverse, one dated "1912". Housed in its original gilt frame with gilt liner. SIZE: 24" x 18". CONDITION: Some inpainting, very good. 9-26115
