      Nov. 19, 2010

Basil Wolverton Foopgoop Frolics "Scoop Foopgoop" Pin-U

      Est: -

Basil Wolverton Foopgoop Frolics "Scoop Foopgoop" Pin-Up Original Art (Glen Bray and Basil Wolverton, 1975). The caption for this one pretty much says it all: "Scoop Foopgoop, novelist with nineteen navels, prefers his own periodicals. 'I delight in digesting everything I have printed,' he pants". All we can add is that this is another wacky, mutated masterpiece from the celebrated Mad artist, which was published in the limited edition, oversized portfolio-'zine, Foopgoop Frolics. The only thing harder to find than a copy of Foopgoop Frolics is a page of original art from it! This page, done in ink on bristol, has an image area of approximately 11.5" x 18". The hand-lettered (by Bill Spicer) caption is on a separate piece of 12.75" x 2.5" bristol. Both pieces are in Excellent condition.
