      depicting Quissett. Signed in the lower left LM Yale. 3 7/8" x 5 3/4". Yale summered in Quissett, MA, which has one of the most magnificent harbors on Buzzards Bay. In 1877, Yale became one of the founding members of the New York etching club. This lot comes with an unframed photograph of Yale, which is 5 1/2" x 4". Print and photo are in very good condition.

      Leroy Milton Yale (American 1841 - 1906) etching. Artist signature in plate lower right. Title illegibly printed in plate lower left, date 'Sept 2 1897' in plate lower left. Measures 9.5-in. x 12.375-in. sheet size. Measures 4.875-in. x 6.625-in. for image window cut in mat. Very minor smudging in far edges left and right, but image in VG/EX condition. Unframed, with custom mat (14-in. x 11-in.) or mats from archival materials. All matted prints are either hinge mounted or secured with mylar corners. None are glued to mat. If lot is absent of a condition report a condition report may be requested via email. Condition report is provided as an opinion only and is no guarantee as grading can be subjective. ''STEVEN LUCE HOUSE'', Graphite Gouache heightened with white, image size 7'' x 10 1/2'', paper size 9 1/2'' x 13 1/2'', no visible signature, titled and dated July 12, 1875. Condition: Shoreline scene has folded deep crease mark in right margin, slight browning in the left margin. Luce House has overall minor browning, most notable in the right margin and lower left corner. Pieces are unframed and sold as is.
