      SIGNED JIAOSHAN (YANG JISHENG, 1516-1555) China, Qing-Dynastie 27 x 35 cm, R. A mountain landscape with pine trees and a waterfall. Ink on paper, album leaf, framed and glazed. A poem inscription, signed: "Jiaoshan", a seal: "Yang Jisheng yin" (added later). Formerly from a German private collection, acquired before 2007 - Part. minor wear Yang Jisheng came from Rongcheng, Province Hebei and was a Chinese court official of the Ming dynasty who held multiple posts during the reign of the Jiajing Emperor. He is remembered as a political opponent of Yan Song, on whose initiative he was arrested and eventually executed. In his lifetime, Yang Jisheng was known by the courtesy name Zhongfang, but frequently used the art name Jiaoshan
