VLADIMIR EVGENIEVICH YASHKE (RUSSIAN B1948), "Apollonoka," 2003, oil on canvas, 40 x 30 cm (15 3/4 x 11 3/4 in.), signed, titled, and dated on the verso. Born in Vladivostok in 1948, Vladimir Yashke lived in Petropavlosk-Kamchatsky and Sevastopol before taking up studies from 1966-1973 in Moscow at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute. In 1976, he moved to Leningrad. In Leningrad, Yashke became one of the main exhibitors of the "Mitki" artist's group. His works, full of atmospheric color and expressive brushwork, have been exhibited internationally. THIS LOT IS BEING SOLD WITHOUT RESERVE.
