It is signed "Rita de Acosta Lydig, from your friend Stark Young" on the interior and dated 1926, (1) one hardcover copy of The Bells of Saint Ivan's by Robert Spencer Carr (American, 1909-1994) copyright 1944 having a plain blue cover, (1) one hardcover copy of The French Revolution: A History vol. III: The Guillotine by Thomas Carlyle (Scottish, 1795-1881) having a black cover with a gold fleur de lis pattern throughout, and (1) one distressed copy of A Method of Breaking Horses, and Teaching Soldiers to Ride by Henry Herbert, 10th Earl of Pembroke (English, 1734-1794) dated 1761 having a torn cover with distressed pages presented in a thin plastic sleeve.
