Upon graduating from Loyola College, Montreal, in 1969 (B.Sc) and from the University of New Brunswick in 1975 (B.Ed), Zageris formally trained at the Maine Photographic Workshops from 1982-1989. Zageris has participated in a myriad of solo and group exhibits globally, with his most recent being the 2012 exhibition entitled "On the Labrador" that showed at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, and the Art Gallery of Peterborough. The recipient of many awards, mentions and grants, Zageris' works are part of prominent collections both within Canada and abroad, including the National Gallery of Canada.
