    Qing Scroll Att To Zhang Zongchang (1686-1755): A very large scroll with a detailed scene of village life in spring time, painted on silk. Houses are surrounded by flowering trees and gardens, while people go about their daily business. Mountains and trees can be seen in the distance. Calligraphy is on the upper left. Smaller calligraphy and artist's seal is on the lower right. Large seal of the Qianlong Emperor is in the top center of the painting. Zhang Zongchang (1686-1755) was a court painter to the Qianlong Emperor but is best know for establishing the legacy for the later court painter Fang Cong. 109 1/2" X 41" There are additional pictures of this item on our Dropbox site.
