The Chinese artist Zhou Xiaohu was born in 1960 in Changzhou. He studied painting at the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in Chongqing and sculpture at the Suzhou Art & Design Technology Institute and started working as a graphic designer. Since the mid-1990s, he deals with computer-inspired and computer-aided design possibilities, which he uses as one of China's pioneers in experimental films and animations. Even in his paintings and three-dimensional works references on computer art can be found. Works by the artist were shown, for example, in 2010 at the Tate Modern in London and the National Art Museum of China in Beijing. Zhou Xiaohu lives and works in Shanghai.

They are both cut from the edges and embedded in an undefined ground, which is partly designed two-dimensional, partly indicates a perspective space. The caused irritation of the observer is enhanced by a human hand in the upper right corner and the vague outlines of the figures that merge with the environment. In his work Zhou Xiaohu plays with confusion. The viewer should question the reliability of the senses. The painting is signed lower right 'Zhou Xiaohu'. On verso it is titled, presumably signed and dated 'Super girl 6 (...) 2006'. The painting is fractionally somewhat unfresh and in good condition. It measures 149 x 149 cm.
