Zsigmond Károlyi Budapest, 1952 - Painter. Between 1971 and 1976 he studied at the Budapest Academy of Fine Arts under the direction of Simon Sarkantyu. Between 1986 and 1988 he was awarded a Derkovits scholarship and Munkácsy-winning artist in 1991, he received the Scholarship of the Hungarian Academy of Rome and Vienna and Munich scholarships in 1992 and the Széchenyi professorship in 1997.

He taught art history at the Kirakatrendezo Iskola and then from 1981 to 1987 at the Fine Arts Secondary School. Between 1987 and 1991, assistant professor at the Academy of Applied Arts, since 1990 teacher at the painting school of Fine Arts College. Creates photos, performances and movies. Her creations were given in the Hungarian National Gallery and in several public collections in Budapest, Hungary.
