Biography

With nearly 20 years in firearms auctions, Amoskeag Auction Company is known in New Hampshire and beyond for sales of collectible firearms. The auction house is known as one of the major fine arms auction houses in the United States, and has more than 16,500 square feet of storage, gallery, and auction space. Amoskeag Auction Company holds several auctions each year, and held seven live online auctions with Invaluable.com in 2014.

Amoskeag is known for dealing in fine arms, including firearms, swords, and other weapons. Most notably, the auction house sold a ceremonial sword that was taken from Saddam Hussein's office during the U.S. invasion of Iraq. The sword was later returned to the Iraqi ambassador in a private ceremony. Other important sales include a rare Colt single action Army revolver that belonged to Tom Custer, as well as a South Carolina high grade militia officers' sword from the Civil War.

The auction house specializes in selling firearms. Specialties include collectible firearms, as well as military history items, swords, and other arms.
