Biography

Artemis Auctions is the joint initiative of leading art auctioneer, Deutscher and Hackett and specialist auction house and art gallery, Mossgreen. The new separate business, headed by Richard Ennis, former Head of Art at Leonard Joel, will cater for the presently under-serviced middle to lower market level of the Australian art market, and will offer unrivalled art expertise sourced across these two leading Australian-owned auction companies. Artemis Auctions will position itself be the only specialist art auctioneer in this mid to lower value market sector.

Located at 310 Toorak Road, South Yarra, Artemis Auctions will hold three auctions per year at Ormond Hall, Melbourne, with a fully illustrated catalogue and an advanced online catalogue.

Richard Ennis brings extensive knowledge and experience to the role of Head of Art at Artemis Auctions. After four years of Post-Graduate studies and research in Art History at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Richard was the Head of Art for Leonard Joel, Melbourne for the past five years.
