Founded in 1929 and located in Bonn, Auktionshaus Plückbaum holds three major auctions per year. The portfolio contains Old Master & 19th Century paintings, Modern & Contemporary paintings as well as paperworks and sculptures from all periods. Furthermore the offer includes antique furniture, rugs & carpets, silver, jewelry, porcelain, clocks & watches, glass and other collectibles of high quality. All objects come primarily from local private properties.

Today, being run in 3rd generation, the auction house has emerged as an internationally established family-run business not only with great expertise but also with a high sense of responsibility towards clients and bidders.

In the past years Auktionshaus Plückbaum growed steadily through successful auctions and high results for works by national and international artists. The 80th anniversary auction brought a remarkable result of EUR 192.000 for a zoo motif by Max Liebermann. In 2019, the year of the 90th anniversary, there has been reached an international record price for a work by the Portugese female Baroque artist Josefa de Obidos. The „Adoration of the Child“ from 1667 reached EUR 266.000 at auction.

Besides these works which were offered to an international market, also local painters are treated with the same diligence and has been just as successfully auctioned: For instance Oswald Achenbach’s „View on Ischia“ for EUR 49.500 or Fritz von Wille’s „Weinfeld Maar“ for EUR 13.600.
