Humberts holds a number of fully comprehensive catalogued auction sales every year. Known for their professional displays and the expertise of their staff, the auctions attract clients from all over the world.

The fine art team undertakes free home visits to discuss the suitability of items for auction. The team’s knowledge of the current market and trends ensures that realistic estimates of prices likely to be achieved at auction are always given.

The company will arrange collection, storage and delivery of items to the sale room. All Humberts’ sales benefit from high profile promotion both in the UK and internationally. Illustrated catalogues are also prepared prior to the auction and distributed to its client list.

South-East auctions

London and South-East auctions are led by Jeremy Sparks, a professional and highly experienced auctioneer and valuer who has spent over twenty five years in the fine art world. He is supported by a network of consultants who are experts in every aspect of fine art, antiques and collectables.

Auctions are held four times a year in Hawkhurst and in Wye and are extensively promoted on a local, national and international basis. Additionally the team organises house content auctions and occasional specialist sales.

The team is committed to giving every item that passes through its hands the best possible chance to achieve the maximum price. A complete service is offered to all clients from initial advice and valuation through to transportation of goods to the auction and storage if necessary. Illustrated catalogues are produced and distributed to the extensive database of clients. The sales are managed by well informed staff and items are displayed professionally.

As well as auctions, the team provides professional valuations for inheritance tax (probate), insurance and family division.
