DESCRIPTION: Five 19th century American etchings. Includes: 1) Frederick M. Spiegle. Two etchings. Each with copyright information at upper right from C. Klackner. One depicting a little girl, signed in print at upper right, and in pencil at lower right. Numbered at lower left side of paper in blue "B17628". Image size 11" x 7-1/4". Paper size 15-3/4" x 10-1/2". The other of a woman holding a bird with a message, singed in pencil at lower right. Image size 14-1/4" x 19-1/2". Paper size 15-3/4" x 11". 2) Charles Spiegle. Wood engraving. Depicts a woman gazing out a window. Signed and marked in engraving. Signed in pencil at lower right corner below image. Numbered on paper at lower left corner "34413". Image size 9-3/4" x 4-1/4". Paper size 18-1/4" x 12-1/4". 3) Stephen J. Ferris. Depicts several groups of men on and off horseback in the woods. Signed in plate. Between grey matting, adhered to front portion of grey matting. Image size 3-1/4" x 4-1/2". Overall with matting 12-1/8" x 10-1/8". 4) Edith Penman (American, 1860-1929). Etching on paper. Two Cherubs. 1890. Signed in pencil lower right. Klackner stamped inventory number. Under ivory matting. 7" x 9". Overall with matting 15" x 20". MEASUREMENTS: See Description. CONDITION: Toning and yellowing throughout paper on each. Dark marks and smudging to paper on each. Light wear to edges of paper on each.
