London: Robert Havell; Henry Bohn, 1831-1848. Folio, 19th century three-quarters morocco and cloth; rubbed and worn, spines heavily rubbed and detaching, most covers detached - but all present. With 742 lithographic plates (most hand colored and 6 folding) and 2 lithographic tables. Plate 148 of volume IV inserted loose out of order - its edges chipped. Scattered light foxing and dust smudging primarily to plate margins, very occasional, minor dampstaining - affecting a few plates in blank margins and gutters. With the 60-page section for the intended volume X bound at the end of volume IX. Volumes 1-7 published by Havell, volumes 8-9 by Henry G. Bohn. Text in English and Spanish. Ex-library: perforated stamps on all title pages, on all plates (including tables), and on several text leaves in each volumes; ink stamp on the content page in each volume and on one of the lithographic tables.

Payment Information

An invoice representing the total due of hammer + buyer's premium + sales tax (if applicable) will be issued and is due within 10 days of the sale. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, checks payable in US dollars, and bank transfers. Freeman's does not accept credit cards. Lots purchased will not be released until funds have cleared the bank.

Shipping Terms

Buyer's Premium

A buyer's premium will be added to your successful bid at the rate of 25% on the first 200,000, 20% between 200,001 and 3,000,000, and 12% thereafter. Be sure to factor in the buyer's premium when determining your maximum bid. Invaluable/eBay charges an additional 5% fee that will be added to your buyer's premium.

Taxes on your purchase
