A BLUE AND WHITE COVERED BOWL AND TWO DISHES

Kangxi

Comprising a bowl with steep sides rising from a short foot, painted in a continuous wide band with three large five-petaled flowerheads borne on meandering leafy scrolls with buds, the domed cover similarly decorated; a blue and white dish with fluted rim, painted with two large peony heads in a garden setting to the center below three sprays of alternate prunus, crabapple and chrysanthemum to the well and border, the reverse with three stemmed flower groups and the base with an encircled
jue mark; and a small blue and white saucer dish elaborately painted in reserve with a central stylized flower roundel with radiating petals, below further petals descending from the rim and forming a tulip-like design, further cell pattern and cartouches at the rim, the reverse with four beribboned objects and an encircled pseudo seal.
