End of 19th cent. Bronze with brown patina, h. 45 cm, without sign. - The bronze Roman bull marks the major work in Philipsens sculptural oeuvre. A cast of this bull is located in the Copenhagen Museum of Art. - The most important Impressionist and Danish sculptor, student of NJ Simonsen and C.
