A Chinese Painting on Silk of a Spotted Deer, Attributed to Nanpin Shen (1682-1758),
the deer depicted atop a rocky ledge having a rolled paper tied to his antler, with two bats flying above and surrounded by scrolling foliage, grasses and flowing water, contained in a Japanese brocade silk mount, having nine-character inscription with artist's name Nanpin Shenquan and date characters, with two red seal stamps and one red seal stamp at lower left.
Height of image 54 3/4 x width 23 3/4 inches.

The item having heavy wear throughout with multiple areas of inpainting and repaired creases in the silk surface, with some some small worm holes in the painting; the mount having heavy wear and tearing with multiple worm holes. Please see additional images.
