Summer depicted scantily clad, wearing drapery around her shoulders, flowers in her hair, on a waisted circular foot, signed to the back Leriche. Sl. 1778., Winter also depicted scantily clad, wearing fur drapery around her head and shoulders, on a waisted circular brèche d'Alep marble foot, signed to the back Leriche. Scl. 1780., 66cm and 69cm high; (25.5" and 27" high). (2)

Josse-François-Joseph Le Riche (or Leriche 1738-1812) was active in the Sèvres Manufactory from 1757 where he was in charge of the sculpture workshop.
