A FRAMED KPM PORCELAIN PLAQUE AFTER THUMANN: THE THREE FATES Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur (KPM), Berlin, Germany, circa 1990 Decoration after Friedrich Paul Thumann (German, 1834-1908) Marks: (scepter) KPM, Sz, 237 158 9-1/8 inches high x 7-1/8 inches wide (23.2 x 18.1 cm) (plaque) The plaque depicting the three fates, Clotho measuring the thread of life from a spindle held in the crook of her arm, Atropos reaching for the strand with shears in her right hand and Lachesis holding the end of the thread with flowers in her opposite hand, inscribed to lower right NACH and to reverse Die Parzen nach Thumann. Presented in gilt carved frame measuring 13-12" x 11-1/2".
