With foundry inscription 'Akt: Gesellsch: Gladenback Berlin.', on a rouge griotte marble base

The life-size zinc model of this equestrian group by the Moritz Geiss foundry was shown at the Great Exhibition in London in 1851 and achieved extensive international fame. The 1839 original bronze model by Kiss faces the entrance to the Altes Museum in Berlin.
