Nurnburg, 1821, comprising two seated figures, one of the artist and the other of his father, a seated pet dog, two chairs, a table, a turned wood inkwell and an open bible, the artist figure signed J. Burgschmiet and dated 1821, further inscribed with the artist's birth and death dates, retaining a typed paper written in German with additional information purporting the group was carved for the artist's Master craftsman's diploma examination.
