Circa 1900 The oval hinged and glazed-panelled top opening to a green silk-lined well, the frieze above splayed square legs joined by an X-stretcher with central oval, painted overall with floral ribbon-tied swags 29in. (73.5cm.) high, 24in. (61cm.) wide, 22in. (56cm.) deep PROVENANCE Part of a commission supplied by Stanford White in 1898-1906 for James L. Breese for 'The Orchard', Southampton, New York.
