BY JEAN-CHARLES ELLAUME, CIRCA 1760
The rounded rectangular rouge du Languedoc marble top above a frieze drawer and a shaped fall-front enclosing a fitted interior with open compartments and drawers, and a gilt-tooled brown leather-lined writing-surface, above a pair of doors enclosing a shelf, on short cabriole feet with rockwork sabots, stamped twice 'J.C.ELLAUME' and 'JME', and with a stencilled oval inscription '....Milano', previously further mounted
