BY BARNABE SAGERET (FL. 1731-1758), INDISTINCTLY MARKED, PARIS, 1752/1753, WITH THE DISCHARGE MARK OF JULIEN BERTHE 1750-1756, LATER STRUCK WITH TWO POST-1893 FRENCH IMPORT MARKS
Rectangular box, the cover, sides and base chased with rectangular panels of polished gold centred with oval reserves chased in four-colour gold with bucolic and harvesting scenes on a frosted ground, within fluted borders, the reserves on the hinged cover and base hung from bows, the reeded borders chased in four-colour gold with trailing foliage entwined with fluted ribbons
