A PAIR OF FABERGÉ IMPERIAL JEWELLED GOLD AND ENAMEL CUFFLINKS, WORKMASTER MICHAEL PERCHIN, ST PETERSBURG, CIRCA 1898 each bar link of oval section, enamelled in translucent rose Pompadour over diagonal wavy engine-turning within rose-cut diamond-set borders, struck with workmaster's initials, 56 standard, scratched inventory number 60763 width of each link: 2cm, 3/4 in.

Provenance

These cufflinks were a joint puchase by Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna and her husband, Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich, 8 December 1898, for 100 roubles and given to her brother.

Notes

A nearly identical pair of Perchin cufflinks in red enamel is in the British Royal Collection, RCIN 43594.
