A POWDER-BLUE-GLAZED GLOBULAR BOTTLE VASE

The elegantly potted vase with wide rounded globular body below a sloping shoulder and tall, very slightly waisted cylindrical neck, under an attractive lightly mottled cobalt-blue glaze that pales to white at the rim, supported on a short foot with unglazed concave base.


9 3/4in (24.8cm) high

There appears to be some very light polish to the edge of the blue glaze at the foot ring but difficult to tell precisely how much. It may simply be the 'cleaning up' of the glaze finish where it naturally pools. Some surface wear.
