of teardrop form, carved with flowering prunus and birds on a snowflake ground Provenance Hamilton Coll. no. 350 Mark Harrison, Houston Antique Center Compare a similar bottle illustrated in "Chinese Snuff Bottles, A Miniature Art," from the Collection of Mary and George Bloch, exhibited Hong Kong Museum, March - June 1994, no. 105 also illustrated in Moss, Graham, Tsang, A Treasury of Chinese Snuff Bottles, Vol. 5, Glass, no. 896, where the distinctive Imperial group of which it is a part is discussed. Another example was sold in these rooms 17 March 1997, lot 38.
