INDISTINCTLY MARKED AA PROBABLY FOR ANDREI ADLER, ST. PETERSBURG, 1908-1917
Circular with chased and engraved foliate mounts, the raised central panel and flared base enamelled in translucent white over a rayed and wavy ground, with citrine push-piece, marked under base, 4.8 cm. diameter

Notes

The mark AA was previously thought to be that of A. Astreyden. However, Skurlov lists the mark as that of Andrei Adler alongside Fabergé's various workmaster's, (V.Skurlov, Fabergé and Petersburg Jewellery, St. Petersburg, 1997, p.111).
