A SILVER-GILT AND CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL COFFEE POT
MARK OF ANTIP KUZMICHEV, MOSCOW, 1887, RETAILED BY TIFFANY & CO.
Tapering cylindrical, the octagonal lower section decorated with arched panels with spiral-twist arcade enamelled with varicolour flowerheads and foliate arabesques, the cylindrical upper section enamelled with narrow panels of similar stylised foliage and geometric motifs, the stepped domed cover similarly enamelled and surmounted by a silver finial in the form of a seated peasant woman in traditional dress, on stippled ground, the scroll handle and spout partially enamelled with blue scale pattern and pellet borders, the handle with mother-of-pearl insulators, the base engraved with scratch-weight 429, marked under base and on cover
