Referred to variously as "The Notary" or "The Music Master", signed on the base G B Amendola (Giovanni Batista Amendola, Italian, 1848-1887). This is possibly the last sculpture by this talented master, who died at the age of 39. A superlative bronze, cast circa 1885. 21 3/4"h A similar example sold at Sotheby`s London, June 28, 2007, for $16,736.
