A VERY RARE FABERGÉ JEWELLED GOLD AND ENAMEL MECHANICAL EGG PENDANT, WORKMASTER MICHAEL PERCHIN, ST PETERSBURG, CIRCA 1895 the surface of translucent tobacco brown enamel over chased swirls issuing from an inset rose-cut diamond on the front and back, divided by a two-colour gold chased leaf border, hinged at the pendant loop and opening to reveal an interior gold slide and disc base to facilitate upright display, struck with workmaster's initials, 56 standard, French control mark height overall: 2.7cm, 1in; height of egg body: 1.6cm, 5/8 in.
