RICHARD GIBSON (BRITISH, 1615-1690) A young gentleman, in armour, white lawn collar, long curling light brown hair; together with Rachel, Countess of Middlesex (1613-1680), in lace-bordered off-the-shoulder yellow dress, drop-pearl and jewelled pendant fastened at corsage, pearl necklace, her dark brown hair dressed in ringlets (English School, 19th Century) on vellum and on card, respectively ovals, 1 5/16 in. (33 mm.), silver frame, and 2 9/16 in. (65 mm.) high, gilt-metal frame with pierced spiral cresting (2)
