Description

Aage Moll (Danish/American, b. 1877), "Connecticut Landscape," oil on board, signed lower left "A. Moll," signed, titled (Hartford, CT), and inscribed on verso with a dedication "To Louise and Svend Helwey, From Ama and Aage Moll, July 2, 1937," measures 16x20 inches unframed, overall 21x25 inches framed. CONDITION: Good, frame with scuffs. Moll was one of the founders, in 1910, of the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts and was one of the artists who worked on the redecorating of the Connecticut State Capital during 1916-17. He was a member of the Salmagundi Club in New York City.
