Young boy in a blue dress seated on a red cushion with rattle on floor. Signed on band of cushion at left of foot "A.D. Fletcher 1862". Signed on reverse "A.D. Fletcher June 1862 Pnxt". Titled on reverse "(child's name? illegible), March 1862" and "LaPorte, 1857".
Oil on canvas, 29" x 23½". Unframed.

Condition: Crazed. Four patches on reverse. 1½" diameter inpainting above boy's left ear, and ¾" diameter of paint loss to the right of that. 1½" diameter of inpainting next to boy's left foot and on big toe of left foot. Scattered inpainting lower right.
