Gifted by Sudhir Khastgir - Eminent artist, teacher and student of Abanindranath Tagore and Nandalal Bose in Santiniketan - to his nephew Shri Amitabha Niyogi in 1965 after visit to his Santiniketan residence during Poush Mela as Chairman of Durgapur Chemical Limited. Sudhir Khastgir had been directly gifted this painting by his teacher Nandalal Bose.
