Description

A pair of portraits of a Nobleman and a Lady: he, wearing blue overcoat with gold buttons, black coat, white waistcoat and stock held with jewelled stickpin, the badge of the Imperial Austrian Order of Leopold on his left breast; she, wearing black dress with large white lace collar, gauze ruff, lace bonnet decorated and tied with wide mauve silk ribbon, pink stole and gold bracelet set with amethyst.
Both signed on obverse Adalbert Suchy, he dated on obverse .830, gilt-metal mounts, set in a veneered wood frame.
