Bergmann-Metallurgique was a Berlin-based automobile and utility vehicle manufacturer, founded in 1909. The company held the license rights for the production of the Belgium Métallurgique automobiles in Germany.

Condition:
The poster is in good condition. The sheet partially shows some stains, foxing and smaller retouchings; especially in the center. The frame shows minor traces of use. The sheet size is 122 x 90.8 cm. The framed dimensions are 133 x 100 cm.

Otto Ludwig Naegele (1880-1952)
Otto Luwig Naegele studied at the art academies of his hometown Munich and Düsseldorf. In 1892 he joined the Luitpoldgruppe, a Munich artists’ association. At the age of 25, Naegele was among the winners in a prize competition for advertising designs, organized by the German enterprisers Ludwig Stollwerck und Otto Henkell. In 1932 he took part in the Düsseldorf-Munich art exhibition in the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf. He was considered one of the most important advertising designers before World War I. His works are influenced by the Munich Art nouveau. (vsc)
